The games market has always been tough. The on-line games market is extremely tough. And now Goggle has entered the fray:

On the surface it might sound like a good thing, but is it? Another player in the on-line space, how is the customer meant to understand where they should go to spend their hard earned cash and get a good deal? It isn't that obvious or straight forward and the end result is that the consumer isn't convinced in one direction or the other and goes back to the thing that they really understand .... physical retail.
On-line distribution is the future, and is a better distribution model for the content creators, but we need some synergy in the market so that customers know where to go to find the content they want at the right price, otherwise we fail or slow down the transition into digital distribution, which is hurting a lot of the content creators.
